Mark Mrozinski, Ed.D., began his career as a pianist, composer, and teacher before serving as a dean and vice president in higher education. His short fiction has appeared in Beyond Words Magazine, Mystery Magazine, The Lit Nerds, The Penn Review, and Twin Bird Review. He received awards in the 2025 Writer’s Digest Short Story Contest and the 2025 Writer’s Digest Writing Contest, was shortlisted for the 2021 Thomas Wolfe Fiction Prize, and earned second place in the 2022 Tennessee Williams Short Fiction Contest. He continues to compose and arrange music, with works published by RCM Publications in Toronto.
Mark lives in Chicago with his family.
